Faculty of Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Management

Faculty of Arts and Humanities
At the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, we are dedicated to offering a transformative educational experience. Our internationally acclaimed lecturers inspire students through a deep engagement with diverse cultures, histories, languages, and ways of knowing.

Faculty of Build Environment, Art and Design
The Faculty of Built Environment, Art and Design is the tenth faculty in the university. The establishment of the new faculty marks a milestone in the university’s human capital development endeavour so as to address the skills shortages which were identified in the 2018 National Critical Skills Audit Report, under the Engineering and Technology sector.

Faculty of Business Sciences
The Faculty of Business Sciences offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (Masters, MPhil, DPhil) designed to develop analytical, industry-ready leaders. Our Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL) provides AABS-accredited MBA and EMBA degrees, recognized globally through partnerships with AMBA, AACSB, and others.

Faculty of Education
The Faculty of education offers stimulating post and undergraduate degree programmes in Education that are enriched by stake holder consultations to ensure responsiveness to community needs. There are exciting teacher education programmes focusing on infant, junior primary, secondary and tertiary education and we pride ourselves in driving education in Zimbabwe and outside through our affiliate colleges that puts us at an international pedestal.

Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences
The Faculty Engineering & Geosciences (formerly Faculty of Mining & Mineral Processing Engineering until 2019) was established in August 2015 to contribute to the industrialisation of Zimbabwe by providing requisite research and training in the pivotal arena of local value addition and beneficiation of Zimbabwe’s mineral resources.

Faculty of Law
The Midlands State University Faculty of Law is located in Gweru in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe. It is situated approximately 5 kilometers from the City Centre. The Faculty averages a student enrolment of 100 students per intake. Designated by the Council for Legal Education on the 7th of March 2007, the Midlands State University Law School marks an important chapter in Zimbabwean legal history as it is the first law school to be successfully established in post-independence Zimbabwe.

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the newest faculty at the Midlands State University. After approval from the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ), the faculty enrolled its first cohort of twenty students, eight females and 12 males, at the end of February 2016. This small number allows for an excellent student – staff ratio.

Faculty of Science And Technology
Welcome to the Faculty of Science and Technology at Midlands State University, where our vision of being the leading faculty nationally and globally drives our academic endeavor. This proud faculty has an average enrollment of 1500 students in several departments namely, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Surveying and Geomatics, Food Science and Nutrition, Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology, Chemical Technology , Applied Statistics and Mathematics, 90 teaching staff and graduates on average 350 students annually.
